A border of Japanese fans and gingko leaves frame a delicate field of twinkling starbursts in this charming 1880s pattern, that was adapted from an 1885 wallpaper design. Kyoto lace panels are the perfect accessory for any Aesthetic Movement interior, as well as any late Victorian room or even those reflecting the Asian influence from the Art Deco era.
Kyoto is a fine lace in the Nottingham weave. Nottingham Lace Curtains are a machine-woven textile; the technology was developed in the mid-19th century and enabled every household to own affordable lace curtains. This is the type of lace that many of you are familiar with, and it is woven in a variety of point sizes from 8-point (the heaviest) to 14-point (the finest).
