The Neo-Grec style reached its peak of popularity in the 1870s. Our Neo-Grec Lace Panel is adorned with such Grecian design motifs as Greek keys and an Anthemion. While it is a fine addition to any 19th century home, this design is wonderfully suited in Stick Style, Italianate and Second Empire houses.
Neo-Grec is a fine lace in the Nottingham weave. Nottingham Lace Curtains are a machine-woven textile; the technology was developed in the mid-19th century and enabled every household to own affordable lace curtains. This is the type of lace that many of you are familiar with, and it is woven in a variety of point sizes from 8-point (the heaviest) to 14-point (the finest).
